Training to Teach with L.E.A.D. Academy Trust

L.E.A.D. Academy Trust is committed to developing the next generation of teachers. Our schools are supportive, forward-thinking, and inspiring places to hone your craft as a teacher. We are very proud that many of our experienced colleagues started their own teaching careers in L.E.A.D. schools.

Colleagues across L.E.A.D. Academy Trust have extensive experience of supporting trainee and early career teachers. As well as having previously led a School Direct teacher training partnership, members of our team also teach on PGCE courses for the University of Leicester, Nottingham Trent University, and many more.

We work with a range of initial teacher training partners. Currently, there are two ways that you can train as a teacher at a L.E.A.D. school:

PGCE Placement

Having gained a place for teacher training with one of our initial teacher training partners, you can complete your first or second placement in one of our trust schools.

You can find out more about applying for a PGCE course with one of our partners here:

Level 6 Teacher Apprenticeship (with Nottingham Trent University)

Occasionally, L.E.A.D. Academy Trust schools advertise for Teacher Apprentices, who complete their degree-level apprenticeship with Nottingham Trent University alongside working in school. The programme takes 16 months and is suitable for those who have a degree and are already employed by a primary or secondary school.
